Why OakStone Was Created
Before founding OakStone, I spent more than 25 years leading complex projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring that even the smallest details were never overlooked.
While that experience gave me the skills to manage complex transitions, it was supporting my own family through significant life changes that gave OakStone its purpose.
Over the years, I've helped loved ones navigate downsizing after decades in their family home, adjust to changing care needs following a cancer diagnosis, and support family members living with dementia. I experienced firsthand how quickly what seems like "just a move" becomes something much more.
Families are suddenly faced with emotional decisions, coordinating multiple service providers, managing paperwork, navigating healthcare and housing options, and balancing it all alongside work, caregiving, and everyday responsibilities.
What struck me most was the lack of professional, personalized support available to guide families through every stage of these transitions.
